Random fact: Alligators and crocodiles do not have lips.  That's perhaps the only thing I've learned in my prehistoric life class, but I suppose it's better than nothing.

Anyways, I've been insanely busy with school and life in general (as in, I shouldn't be on here right now, but I justify it by the fact that I haven't been on here for some time).  I'll be very happy when summer comes around.  The sad news is that Fr. Will's contract is up this summer and is not being renewed, so he'll be leaving to become a spiritual director at some seminary in Maryland.  We don't know who we're getting yet for a priest (it'll be announced soon, I believe), but it's not a full-time pastor, yet Fr. Will has implied that he's going to be good.  So, I hope things turn out okay.  We're praying.

The other way I've been wasting time has to do with an idea I had (which probably is not very original, but it's still kind of fun) to make a soundtrack for my story if it were ever to become a movie.  So here it is!  Lots of melancholic songs, although some are cheerier too.  And lots of guitar pieces, since the main character of my story is a classical guitarist.

That sounds very lovely and quaint! :aww: I've been wanting to make some scones myself, but I haven't had any time and probably won't until about Thanksgiving. Darn it. :hmm: Wait for me, my dearly beloved scones! :XD:

Just wondering, when you recommended Dickens, you said I should read David Copperfield first, right?

Yes! Read it! Read it now!!!! Or at your earliest convenience. Whichever you prefer. ;) :XD: I mean, I suppose some of his later books have a more serious tone in general, but Dickens himself said, "Of all my books, I like this the best." I dunno...I guess whatever you read by him first will have a wonderful combination of comedy, satire, drama, and tragedy, so you're good to go no matter what. :D

Even so, I highly recommend starting with David Copperfield...Things begin majestically with the first chapter, entitled "I am born." :XD: Some of the chapter titles are rather amusing, which is yet another reason why I like the book. :)

I'll try! I will try, but I have so many books I'm trying to get through. I'm halfway through the Idiot right now. I'm also reading "Republic" and "Seven Storey Mountain" and once I'm done with those I have to try and read Richard III (which isn't long) some other play the name of which I have forgotten, "With Fire and Sword," "Pillars of the Earth" and then "David Copperfield." I have the feeling I will be renewing things. A lot.

You are ever so welcome!! :aww: I think you'll really like the book whenever you get around to reading it. I call it the everything book because it has everything in it...It's a travelogue, a philosophical explanation for all the essentials (you know, all of that "why am I here and why do I exist and what's the meaning of all of this?"...all the good stuff you love ;) ), and it's just really handy when you have to combat the secularists, relativists, and other general heretics. Therefore, it's amazing. :D
